FAQ
Common questions
Timelines, pricing, materials, and what to expect while we work.

Timeline & planning
How long does a typical renovation take?
It depends on scope and complexity. A bathroom is usually 2 to 3 weeks, a kitchen around 3 weeks, and a complete home makeover 2 to 4 months. You'll get a detailed timeline during planning.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We manage the permits and schedule the inspections, so your renovation meets local building codes and regulations.
Pricing & payments
Is the quote free?
Yes. We come out for a free first visit and look at the whole job in person, then send a detailed quote a few days later.
What payment terms do you offer?
A deposit up front, then payments at set milestones. The exact split depends on the size and length of the project, and it's laid out in your quote.
Do you offer financing?
No. We're not an authorised credit provider, so we can't offer finance.
How do you handle changes to the scope once work has begun?
Through a written change-order. Any change to the timeline or cost is put in writing and needs your approval before we carry on.
Materials & design
Can you do a design for me?
Yes. Our designer can draw your kitchen in full 3D, with your colours and layout, so you see it before we start. There's a design fee, and it comes off your quote if you go ahead.
Can I buy the materials and fixtures myself, or do you?
Either. Many clients buy their own to skip the markup and keep the slips for the warranty, and we fit them. Or we source everything for you at an additional cost, after a proper brief. We work with trusted suppliers too, often at rates we pass on.
Do you help choose fixtures and materials?
Free advice and guidance, always. For more hands-on help, we offer that as an add-on at a small cost.
What flooring options do you work with?
Tile, wood, paving, laminate and screeding.
During the renovation
Can I stay in my home during the work?
For most projects, yes. We phase the plan to keep disruption down, especially on larger jobs. The room we're working in won't be usable while we're in it. For a full-home renovation, staying on site isn't possible while the work is under way.
Who does the electrical and plumbing?
Registered, qualified professionals. All electrical, plumbing and gas work is done to code and signed off.
Who will be my main point of contact?
A project manager who runs your renovation from start to finish and keeps you updated.
How often will I get updates?
Weekly progress meetings, plus daily updates during the critical phases.
Do you clean up daily?
Yes. We keep a tidy site throughout and do a thorough clean on completion.
How do you handle unexpected issues?
We build contingency time and budget into every plan. If something comes up, we tell you straight away and bring solutions before we proceed.
After completion
What if I'm not satisfied with the completed work?
Your satisfaction comes first. We do a full walkthrough on completion and sort any concerns promptly.
Do you provide maintenance after the renovation?
Yes. We offer maintenance packages and are around for future adjustments or extra work.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. A 6-month workmanship guarantee. If something isn't right, we come back and put it right. Materials and fixtures carry their own manufacturer warranties, so it's worth keeping your slips.
